With no free medical, free schooling or dole payments the people for Madagascar have a difficult time. Life is tough with high unemployment rates so being able to employ a small team of artisans enables them to feed and clothe their families and hopefully enroll their children into the local school. This project in Madagascar not only employs people, but offers them hope and by offering a hand up and not a hand out gives our artisans the dignity that they deserve. Using their weaving, embroidery and crocheting skills passed down through the generations is imperative as it keeps their traditions alive.
